Nepean 810 was a contemporary build using clever design principles, natural lighting and a refined colour palette to create a visually stunning home.

This build was part of a two-unit development site with an existing front dwelling to contend with. The main challenge in this project was ensuring that the house connected to outside spaces despite being located at the rear of an existing dwelling and residential block.
The space was carefully designed to feel like a private sanctuary, with all living areas orientated away from the common driveway and existing dwelling. Natural light is captured and reflected through glazing, with every window looking out onto lush garden space. Organic elements and textures are highlighted to create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor zones.
Contrasting colours and finishes create a contemporary feel in this family home, with steel and timber cladding used to earth the space. Oak floorboards and floating stairs add warmth and character, with spa-like bathrooms creating a sense of comfort and calm. The master bedroom has been designed as the ultimate adult’s retreat, overlooking a Zen garden and water feature.
This project was completed with a modest budget and careful consideration of resources, whilst ensuring maximum impact and results for the client. Wastage was eliminated through considered process and sustainable design practices, resulting in a highly efficient and effective home.
